Russell Robertson
Russell Robertson first came to the public eye with two spectacular marks playing football in Tasmania that eventually went on to win the Footy Show's segment, Almost Football Legends. Russell was spotted by the Melbourne Football Club on the show that night, and unbelievably he was the first player ever to be drafted because of a live TV show.
For the next 13 years Russell went on to play 228 games and boot 428 goals to become a Demon all time legend and cheer squad favorite. He won a best and fairest and runner up. He topped the leading goal scoring four times and represented his country in the Australian/Ireland hybrid series, proving himself to be a true and respected footballer.
During his career Russell followed another passion, music and was lucky enough to be paired with the darling of Australian music, Kate Ceberano and was runner up on another live TV show, It Takes Two.
Since then Russell has teamed up with Phil Ceberano (Kate's brother) and Chris Doheny (Singer and writer of the footy show anthem 'it's more than a game') and has played many corporate functions and pub gigs.
