Molly Meldrum

Ian Meldrum is legend in the history of Australian music. Dubbed "Molly", this guru has put Australia on the world map with its recognition and appreciation of contemporary music.

Having had major success as a record producer, record company label owner, presenter and journalist. Meldrum’s contributions have also earnt him many awards including an Order from the Queen.

Meldrum and Countdown are responsible for bringing the world’s attention to artists such as Madonna, Blondie, ABBA, the Police and the list goes on. He was the journalist who announced to the world the split of the Beatles.

Currently signed to both Foxtel and Channel 7, Meldrum continues to contribute reports to Ch 7’s; Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise, Morning Show and Sunday Night programs. As well as presenting many specials for Foxtel.
