Firass has won lead roles in Australian and international film and television.

Firass’ current television lead role is that of John Ibrahim in the third season of the award wining ‘Underbelly’ series for Screentime and the Nine Network.

Other television works includes the guest lead of Talal in ‘East West 101’ (Knapman Wyld Television dir. Peter Andrikidis), Amen in the series ‘Kick’ (Storm Production/SBS Television), the series lead Nick in ‘Power Rangers: Mystic Force’ (Ranger Productions/Disney USA), Matt Vasallo in ‘The Silence’ (Jan Chapman Films dir. Cate Shortland), the Pizza Boy in ‘Small Claims’ (RB Films/Ten Network dir. Cherie Nowlan), Joe Malouf in the popular series ‘All Saints’ (Channel 7), Nick Zenapoulos in ‘White Collar Blue’ (Knapman/Wyld Television), Butch in ‘My Husband My Killer’ (Screentime dir. Peter Andrikidis), David Soloman in ‘The Potato Factory’ (Screentime dir. Rob Marchand), Bill in the popular series ‘Home & Away’ (Channel 7) as well as the role of Marc in ‘Children’s Hospital’ (ABC Television).

Firass’ Australian film credits include the lead role of Charlie in ‘The Combination’ directed by David Field for See Thur Films, the lead role of Stevie in ‘Crooked Business’ directed by Chris Nyst; the role of Russel in the highly acclaimed film ‘The Black Balloon’ directed Elissa Down for Tristram Miall Films/ICON;

Firass’ US film roles include an AI Queda Leader in ‘The Marine’ directed by John Bonito for 20th Century Fox; the role of Soc in Kirby Dick’s documentary ‘Twist of Fate’ (which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2005); the role of Ali in ‘Pitch Black’ opposite Vin Diesel and directed by David N Twohy for Universal Pictures USA.

Early in his career Firass performed in theatre productions with the ACTT including the character of Caliban in ‘The Tempest’, ‘Kids Stakes/Other Times’, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ as the role of Puck, ‘Stories’ and ‘Sydney Dream Ball’ as an Aerial Acrobat.

Firass’ physical skills include 3 years of Tae Kwon Do training, 2 years of Karate training, 3 years of Physical Theatre training, 6 months Gymnastics, 12 weeks in a Stage Combat Course including sword and stage fighting as well as having experience in using a fighting stick and nun-chuckers.

When working in the theatre production ‘Sydney Dream Ball’, Firass performed harness and aerial work and performing his own stunts in the US feature film ‘The Marine’.

Friass is trained in hip/hop, breaks and funk dance. His acrobatic skills include front flips, forward hand-spring into back flip, walk/stand on his hands with exceptional control, windmill from ground up to standing as well as break dancing poses and freezes.
